Anna Perretta - Violin Teacher in Tempe, Arizona

“When love is deep, much can be accomplished.”

- Dr. Shinichi Suzuki

I teach students of all ages and levels, and I am highly experienced in teaching both Suzuki and non-Suzuki repertoire! Every student is unique, and my adaptability and creativity as a teacher allow me to best meet the needs of each student.

Instruction for beginners follows the Suzuki Method of Violin instruction in order to set up a solid technical foundation and ensure future success and ease in violin playing. In the Suzuki method, the teacher, child, and parent play an equal role in the learning process. For students under age 10, a parent attends all lessons with the student and helps the child practice at home during the week.

Dr. Suzuki’s philosophy was centered around the belief that “Musical ability is not an inborn talent but an ability which can be developed. Any child who is properly trained can develop musical ability, just as all children develop the ability to speak their mother tongue. The potential of every child is unlimited.”

Weekly lessons occur in 30, 45, or 60 minute increments. I recommend 30 minute lessons for beginners and 60 minutes for advanced students.
